Some Very Big, and Very Small Numbers

Name | The Number | Symbol |
---|---|---|

septillion | 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 | Y |

sextillion | 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 | Z |

quintillion | 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 | E |

quadrillion | 1,000,000,000,000,000 | P |

Googolplex

A Googolplex is considered to be the biggest number in the world. It is written as 10. The number 10 can also be expressed in the exponential format that will equal 10.

Googolplex may well designate the largest number named with a single word, but of course that doesn't make it the biggest number. In a last-ditch effort to hold onto the hope that there is indeed such a thing as the largest number… Child: Infinity! Nothing is larger than infinity!

The sequence of natural numbers never ends, and is infinite. OK, / is a finite number (it is not infinite). There's no reason why the 3s should ever stop: they repeat infinitely. So, when we see a number like "0.999..." (i.e. a decimal number with an infinite series of 9s), there is no end to the number of 9s.

There's quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, nonillion, decillion and more. Each is a thousand of the previous one. There's even a humongous number called vigintillion, a one with 63 zeros. But vigintillion is a shrimp compared to a googol.

Definition of vigintillion

US : a number equal to 1 followed by 63 zeros — see Table of Numbers also, British : a number equal to 1 followed by 120 zeros — see Table of Numbers.

The answer is one Quadrillion is equal to 1000000 Billions.

A googolplex is the number 10, or equivalently, 10 or 10 . Written out in ordinary decimal notation, it is 1 followed by 10 zeroes; that is, a 1 followed by a googol zeroes.

googol

The scientific notation for a googol is 1 x 10.

Even though we see a million and a billion as large numbers, there are 1 x 10 ”millions” or 1 x 10 “billions” in a googol, which shows you how much larger a googol is than these numbers.

Even though we see a million and a billion as large numbers, there are 1 x 10 ”millions” or 1 x 10 “billions” in a googol, which shows you how much larger a googol is than these numbers.

Later, another mathematician devised the term googolplex for 10 to the power of googol - that is, 1 followed by 10 to the power of 100 zeros.

ABSOLUTE INFINITY !!! This is the smallest ordinal number after "omega". Informally we can think of this as infinity plus one.

The only current finite named number bigger than Rayo's number is BIG FOOT.
