If one breaks the smallest particle of promise that has passed his lips, then he is not a Roman. Being a true Roman is enough to hold them together. A true Roman is not a tale-tell who will disclose what has been agreed in secret.

Julius Caesar transformed Rome from a republic to an empire, grabbing power through ambitious political reforms. Julius Caesar was famous not only for his military and political successes, but also for his steamy relationship with Cleopatra.
Julius Caesar was a political and military genius who overthrew Rome's decaying political order and replaced it with a dictatorship. He triumphed in the Roman Civil War but was assassinated by those who believed that he was becoming too powerful.
Marcus Junius Brutus (/ˈbruːtəs/; 85 BC – 23 October 42 BC), often referred to simply as Brutus, was a Roman politician, orator, and the most famous of the assassins of Julius Caesar. After being adopted by a relative, he used the name Quintus Servilius Caepio Brutus, which was retained as his legal name.
Cleopatra, (Greek: “Famous in Her Father”) in full Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator (“Cleopatra the Father-Loving Goddess”), (born 70/69 bce—died August 30 bce, Alexandria), Egyptian queen, famous in history and drama as the lover of Julius Caesar and later as the wife of Mark Antony.
The short answer is no. But the Egg designs are inspired by real treasures that sparkle with diamonds. Cleopatra's Eggs are a Hollywood version of the famous Fabergé bejeweled eggs made for Russia's Romanov imperial family.
Scholars have searched for the visage behind the legend, but it's often impossible to verify a historical figure's image. Cleopatra's body has never been discovered. Most surviving paintings and sculptures of her are anachronistic inventions, more telling of their own times than of the subject herself.
Caesarion was the eldest son of Cleopatra and the only known biological son of Julius Caesar, after whom he was named.
Caesarion was the child of Cleopatra and Caesar, although a few Classical authors, perhaps for political reasons, expressed doubts about his paternity. After Cleopatra's arrival in Rome in 46, Caesar himself, officially recognized the child as his son.
While Caesarion was murdered under Octavian's orders, the lives of the three offsprings of Cleopatra and Antony were spared. Cleopatra Selene and Alexander Helios, then aged 10, and Ptolemy Philadelphus, then aged four, were moved to Rome and put under the care of Octavian's sister, Octavia whom Antony was married to.
Cleopatra eventually married Mark Antony and had three children with him, but their relationship also spawned a massive scandal in Rome. Antony's rival Octavian used propaganda to portray him as a traitor under the sway of a scheming seductress, and in 32 B.C., the Roman Senate declared war on Cleopatra.
The Pharaoh in ancient Egypt was the political and religious leader of the people and held the titles 'Lord of the Two Lands' and 'High Priest of Every Temple'. The word 'pharaoh' is the Greek form of the Egyptian pero or per-a-a, which was the designation for the royal residence and means `Great House'.
Augustus (also known as Octavian) was the first emperor of ancient Rome. Augustus came to power after the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BCE. In 27 BCE Augustus “restored” the republic of Rome, though he himself retained all real power as the princeps, or “first citizen,” of Rome.
The film is loosely based on real events that occurred within the Roman Empire in the latter half of the 2nd century AD. As Ridley Scott wanted to portray Roman culture more accurately than in any previous film, he hired several historians as advisors.
