For example, swans are closely related to geese and can be raised as an ornamental bird, typically for ponds. Pet birds are not considered poultry.

Rhode Island Red. The Rhode Island Red is perhaps the world's best-known fowl. It is the most successful dual-purpose bird, and remains an excellent farm chicken. The Rhode Island Red is known for its hardiness and its ability to handle marginal conditions while still producing eggs.
The leanest, healthiest piece of chicken you can eat is a skinless white-meat breast. When you roast chicken, leave the skin on to seal in moisture and flavor.
