There are traditionally four major historical capitals of China referred to as the "Four Great Ancient Capitals of China" (simplified Chinese: 中国四大古都; traditional Chinese: 中國四大古都; pinyin: Zhōngguó Sì Dà Gǔ Dū). The four are Beijing, Nanjing, Luoyang and Xi'an (Chang'an).
As we all know, Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. Beijing has almost continually been the capital for the last 700 years. It was an imperial capital during six Chinese dynasties. As China's second-biggest city (after Shanghai), Beijing is the political, cultural, and educational center of China.
Shanghai (上海), is China's most populous city situated on the eastern coast of the country, a port on the estuary of the Yangtze River. Until World War II, Shanghai contained areas of British, French, and American settlement.

Springfield
The name "Springfield" is often thought to be the only community name appearing in each of the 50 states, but at last count it was in only 34 states.
Monowi
Today, according to the US Census, Monowi is the only incorporated place in the US with just one resident, and Eiler is the mayor, clerk, treasurer, librarian, bartender and only person left in the US' tiniest town.

Wyoming is the least populated US state. Wyoming's population is 83.7% white, 10.1% Hispanic or Latino, 2.7% Native American, 1.3% African American and 1.1% Asian.

China has the world's largest population (1.42 billion), followed by India (1.35 billion). The next five most populous nations – the United States, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan and Nigeria – together have fewer people than India.
In 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau counted 331.4 million people living in the United States; more than three-quarters (77.9%) or 258.3 million were adults, 18 years or older — a 10.1% increase from 234.6 million in 2010.

Now take a guess: what's the one letter of the alphabet that doesn't show up in any of their names? Got your guess? Well, my trivia-savvy friends, the answer is…Q. That's right—50 different names, and not one of them contains the letter Q.
But Q isn't the only rare letter in our state names here in the U.S. The letter Z appears only in the name of one state (Arizona) and X in just two (Texas and New Mexico). P is also fairly rare among the 50, as it appears in only three state names — Pennsylvania, Mississippi and New Hampshire.
But as Merriam-Webster Dictionary points out, one unusual letter is never silent: the letter V. While it makes an appearance in words like quiver and vivid, you can rest assured it always behaves the exact same way.
No states except Alabama and Nebraska have a B in their name, and California and Florida are the only state names that contain F.
